The summer has been a busy and fruitful time for me and Karolyn. We spent a week at the North Carolina beach with our daughter, her husband and our grand-children. All grand-parents know that is always a great time. Then the last of June, Karolyn and I traveled to Turkey for a conference with workers in that area of the world. We found open hearts for practical help in marriage and family life.
The Smart Marriage conference in Orlando gave me an opportunity to introduce my newest book: Things I Wish I’d Known Before We Got Married. I’m hoping this book for singles is going to help many couples be better prepared for marriage. I’ve observed that most couples spend more time preparing for their wedding than their marriage.
Recently I spoke at the Association of Marriage & Family Ministries in Phoenix . This is a great group of leaders from across the country who are trying to help the church accept the challenge of marriage and family enrichment. A special thanks to Eric Garcia.
On August 20, I begin my fall speaking schedule with a Love & Marriage Conference at First Baptist Church of Dallas, TX. Visit ‘calendar’ on the home page to see my fall schedule.
