April 1, 2008

Thirty-seven years ago today I started my journey with Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, N.C.  I came as Associate Pastor with responsibilities for Adult Education and Counseling.  Thirty of those years I worked with Senior Pastor Mark Corts and for the past five years I have worked with our present Senior Pastor, Al Gilbert.  All of my books were birthed in the real world of helping people with their marriage and family problems.  A special word of thanks to the Calvary Baptist family for their prayers and support through the years.

The winter has passed and I’ve had the privilege of leading seminars in Albuquerque, Austin, Ridgecrest, NC, Rock Hill, SC, Carrollton, GA, Richland, MI, Baltimore, MD, Walloon Lake, MI, and Prattville, AL.  Over 6,000 people have attended the seminars and many have written to tell of marriages transformed.

During the month of April, I plan to lead seminars in Olive Branch, MS, Wausau, WI, Tallahassee, FL, and Garden City, MI.  (See seminar schedule for dates and registration details.)

April also brings the release of my newest book: Desperate Marriages:  Moving Toward Hope and Healing in Your Relationship.  This book is for those who are in difficult marriages.  To those who have lost hope, this book brings the challenge of being a ‘positive change agent’.  You cannot change your spouse, but you can discover the power of ‘positive influence’.  I pray that this book will bring new life into desperate marriages.

In His Love,

Gary D. Chapman
